My body was always sending me signs.
Whether we notice them changes everything.
I noticed the signs from my body many times. Yet each time, I told myself “I’m just a little tired” and looked away. This is the story of how I finally faced each one of them — and how it became my mission.
A Timeline of Signs
Diagnosed with hypertension
“I’m slim — why me?” High blood pressure with no clear cause, already in my thirties.
Surgery to remove a lipoma
There was no pain. But the lump on my back kept growing. “It doesn’t hurt, so it’s fine” — was wrong.
Severe allergy & anaphylactic shock
I had told them about my allergy, and it was ignored. That was when I first learned: I have to protect my own body myself.
Traffic accident
I was crossing on a green light — that was all — when a taxi hit me. Even without illness, danger can arrive out of nowhere.
Uterine fibroids & ovary removal surgery
Even thorough checkups can miss things. I learned, through my own body, how vital it is to notice its daily condition.
Menopausal symptoms
Exhaustion that never lifted; weekends spent shut indoors. Still I told myself, “It’s work stress, not menopause.”
Invisalign orthodontics (2 years)
It’s never too late to start. Braces begun in my fifties became my first step toward oral-frailty care.
Stroke & emergency hospitalization; suspicion of a rare genetic disease
Waking up each morning is not a given. I want to be an encouragement to others in recovery — and to spread the importance of prevention.
Diagnosed with subclinical Cushing’s syndrome
What I blamed on menopause and blood pressure turned out to be another illness entirely. This became my origin: to make invisible stress visible.
What I continue today
Breathing exercises for swallowing rehabilitation. BIJIRIS for walking and core training support. And re-learning how to walk correctly with a specialist.

The fact of illness cannot be erased.
Still, I decided to stand up and keep moving forward.
As a Wellness Coordinator
Because I lived through illness, I know how much it matters to notice your body’s signs. I want to support the first step of everyone who, like me, kept putting their body last — drawing on my own lived experience. That is my mission as a Wellness Coordinator.
To create a place where anyone can face their body with peace of mind, I opened a completely private office in Aoyama-itchome, Tokyo. Today our activities extend to male menopause, locomotive syndrome, and sarcopenia care support.
